Case Study #1 | Winston Hills, NSW. (Air Bnb home based in QLD).
Client Goal:
Our clients in Winston Hills wanted to fully automate their Airbnb pool and spa for their guests in Queensland. They wanted an easy way to:
- View and manage their pool chemicals remotely
- Control the heater, lights, and timers from their phone
- Simplify access for guests, while preventing tampering with key settings
- Reduce the cost and hassle of pool maintenance (their pool cleaner was charging extra because of limited access to equipment).
Our Solution
After receiving their enquiry, we quickly contacted them to understand their existing setup and requested photos of their pool equipment. From this, we confirmed they had enough power supply to run:
- Henden Control
- Henden 10AMP Expansion Pack
- Henden Balance
This was perfect for controlling their:
- 1x Pool Pump
- 1x Pool Chlorinator
- 1x Spa Jet Pump (Pool + Spa)
- 1x Inverter Heat Pump
- 2x Pool Lights
Because on-site installation wasn’t cost-effective for the client, we worked with their existing pool maintenance team and provided full phone support for installation. Within a short time, their system was online and automated.
Guest-Friendly Control (Airbnb Mode)
To make it guest-friendly and secure, we created a custom ‘Guest Mode’ within the Henden Control app:
- Guests receive a QR code to access the pool controls
- They can only switch equipment on/off (spa jets, lights, heating, pool pump)
- They can select pool or spa mode and choose their preferred heating temperature
- All advanced settings remain locked for the property owner
We also provided a step-by-step welcome email template for their Airbnb guests, showing exactly how to download and use the app.
Ongoing Support & Remote Monitoring
We added their pool to our support database, meaning if their guests ever have an issue, we can remotely monitor and assist, without the need for anyone to physically be on-site.
